Two parts of one practice session

Setup and swing practice answer different questions. A setup reference helps you observe where you begin. A swing checkpoint helps you observe a movement. Keeping those observations separate can make a practice session easier to describe afterward.

StanceMate provides references for setup practice. SwingMate provides physical checkpoints for swing practice. Stryper Plus brings the two together; SwingMate includes two hinges in this system, and an additional hinge is sold separately.

Begin at setup

Choose one visible setup reference, such as stance width, ball position or alignment. Keep it in place for a short series and make a note of what you observed. Avoid adjusting several setup variables before you have a baseline.

Move to a swing checkpoint

Choose one movement to observe with a physical reference. Keep the setup observation in mind, but evaluate this second part on its own terms. Do not assume that a different setup caused a particular swing outcome.

Carry a note forward

At the end of the session, record the setup reference, the swing checkpoint and what you would like to look at next time. The notes provide continuity; they do not claim a guaranteed performance change.
